Hilary was born and raised in Alabama, received her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design, and relocated to Portland in 2010. Hilary is completing her master's in clinical mental health counseling with a certificate in gender-affirming care at Antioch University, which prioritizes a multicultural and social justice-oriented perspective. With a rich background in yoga and meditation, Hilary brings a unique perspective to her counseling work. She integrates mindfulness techniques into her sessions, fostering a sense of present-moment awareness and acceptance. She firmly believes that the counseling relationship is a catalyst for change and prioritizes creating a collaborative and empowering space for her clients. Hilary is passionate about working with a diverse range of clients. She particularly welcomes individuals and couples who identify as neurodivergent and are navigating relationship challenges. In her free time, she loves baking, swimming, hanging out with her two teens, and painting abstract landscapes. Hilary is currently a student intern, providing counseling under supervision and is working toward completing her clinical hours for graduation.
