Emily is from Michigan, but has lived the majority of her life in Oregon. She received her MS in Psychology with a specialization in Addictions counseling in 2019 and became a CADC I in 2020. Emily has experience working in an Intensive Outpatient setting for substance use treatment as well as working with the State of Oregon as a Case Manager supporting reunification with parents and their children. Emily has also completed a School Counseling licensing program at Portland State University and worked in a K-8th grade rural school since the Spring of 2022. Emily enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults through different life changes and challenging situations. During counseling sessions, Emily will listen with a non-judgemental ear and provide support through mindfulness, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). She enjoys using art, eco therapy, and sand tray therapy with clients who want or need more than just "talk therapy". When Emily is not in session, she enjoys being a mom to 5 kids, coaching basketball, soccer, and baseball throughout the year, taking care of her multiple animals, reading, and being outdoors -- gardening, swimming, kayaking and SUP boarding, hiking, biking, and camping. Emily is currently a Professional Counselor Associate and working toward independent licensure while under supervision. Emily is currently working with ages 5+ and their families.
Emily provides telehealth and in-person services, both in our West Linn office and eco-therapy services at our farm.
