Bruin grew up in the Portland metro area loving sports and played baseball in college. He graduated with his Master’s degree in Psychological Studies with a concentration in Sport Psychology from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey in 2020 and worked as the Director of Baseball Operations for the university where he was able to stay engaged in supporting student athletes. He continued on to earn his Educational Specialist degree in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. He enjoys supporting students and athletes and is currently the baseball coach for a local high school. Bruin has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in an outpatient clinical setting as well as supporting adults in a residential eating disorder program. In counseling, Bruin works to create safe and collaborative environment where he helps clients become an active agent in their own change, allowing for exploration and challenge with a warm and empathetic approach. Bruin has a real passion for sports (football, baseball, golf and basketball are his faves!) and he loves doing anything outdoors. Bruin enjoys hiking, swimming, snowboarding, cooking and watching lots of sports in his free time! Bruin is currently a Professional Counselor Associate and working towards independent licensure while under supervision. Bruin is currently working with clients age 12+.
