Emmanuel is our horse trainer and equine expert. He may be an active part of our session, supporting us with the horses or around the barn while we're working together. Emmanuel is part of our team and is bound by the same confidentiality and privacy laws that our therapists work under.
Penny Benjamin and Betty White
Penny Benjamin (pink halter) and Betty White (purple halter) are both Mustangs who came to us in June 2022 from the Warm Springs Reservation in Oregon. While they continue their training, we have started offering opportunities for clients to work with our horses in both equine-facilitated learning (EFL) and equine-facilitated psychotherapy (EFP) sessions.
Clients will be able to meet Penny and Betty through our equine therapy program, where they are valuable partners in the therapy process, helping clients build connections and relationships and exploring emotional regulation. Equine-facilitated services can be helpful for folks who have experienced trauma or when "in the office" therapy just isn't the right fit. Sometimes getting outside and being with the horses is the small change that makes the biggest difference.
Are you a Master's level clinician, independently licensed mental health clinician or medical prescriber? We're always looking for new people to join our team.
