STUDENT INTERN THERAPIST
pronouns: she/her
Lish grew up in the Midwest and is currently working towards her master's degree in Counseling and Integrated Recovery for Co-Occurring Disorders at Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School. Previously, Lish received a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Sociology, as well as a master's degree in Human Resources. While working in the San Francisco Bay Area for a number of years, a rewarding career in university recruiting and college career counseling inspired her current therapy pursuits. She looks forward to continuing to work with adolescents and adults, offering a compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based approach. She believes each individual has a unique story to tell and the power to create change with the right mixture of autonomy, motivation, and support. Lish is also passionate about supporting individuals through substance use, recovery, and prevention. She most recently gained experience in an intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program.
Having arrived in the Portland area just a few years ago, Lish continues to enjoy exploring all the PNW has to offer with her husband and two young children. An animal lover, she looks forward to hanging out with her dog, Harris, and volunteering as a pet therapy team with her rabbit, Maddy. Lish is currently a student intern, providing counseling under direct supervision. She is working toward completing her clinical hours before her spring 2024 graduation.
