Ashley grew up just outside Chicago and has recently finished her Master's Degree in Social Work, while continuing to work on her Master's in Disaster Resilience Leadership from Tulane University. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from Chapman University in 2011 and previously worked on uplifting the stories of others, highlighting strengths, and shifting the narrative for non-profits and creatives across industries. As the child of immigrants, she is committed to providing culturally competent, trauma-informed care and supporting underserved communities. In counseling, Ashley works to create a safe space to open up, leading with empathy, compassion, and absolutely no judgement. Ashley enjoys working with both children and adults and looks to ensure that those taking care of others are also taken care of (medical professionals, first responders, teachers, parents, advocates, social workers, counselors, etc.). Ashley is a movie buff, loves to travel and explore new places, and do any outdoor activity in or near the water.
