After finishing undergrad at Oregon State University, Megan took a gap year and moved to Buffalo, NY, where she joined a year-long volunteer program centered around social justice and community. It was during this program that Megan's career focus changed from elementary education to social work and she went on to earn her Master's degree in Social Work in 2005 from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Megan has since become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oregon and is also registered as a Clinical Supervisor for students and new graduates. She has also completed a High Performance Leadership graduate certificate from Cornell University and enjoys mentoring, supervising and coaching new social workers, leaders and healthcare executives. Megan has spent her career working with children, families and adults in various settings, while holding clinical and executive leadership roles. Growing up in an inter-racial family with a single mother, Prentice learned the benefit of mentorship and knew early on that his passion was serving others. Prentice is a Psychiatric Nurse*, internationally trained in British Columbia with 15 years experience providing mental health and addictions services. Prentice is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) III clinician, and his passion is to support people in recovery while they overcome obstacles and realize their full potential. He enjoys providing individual and group counseling to address behavioral change, addiction issues, anger management and mediation. Prentice has also been a clinical instructor since 2014, teaching mental health and addictions theory and practice, both online and in the clinical setting. Prentice completed his MBA with a focus in human resources and change management and is currently completing his Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. After working in residential and outpatient substance use treatment for more than 10 years, Shalman went on to earn his Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University in 2017. Shalman encourages active and honest communication with clients and values feedback about your therapeutic experience. Whether you want to address mental health symptoms that are impacting your daily life or struggle with substance abuse, Shalman has a very supportive, goal-directed and non-judgmental approach to help you identify and reach your goals. By identifying life problems, past roadblocks and core values, every person can learn to make choices that are more in line with their goals in ways that encourage contentment, stability and success. Christina grew up in New Jersey and earned her Master's degree in Social Work in 2018 from Ramapo College of New Jersey and is a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) in the state of Oregon. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including: school-based mental health services, outpatient addictions and inpatient mental health and addictions. Christina uses a strengths-based, supportive approach to help you identify current challenges and steps to move forward. She focuses on learning how to be in the present moment and understanding how our past and our future can hold us back in the now. Lauren earned her Master's degree in Social Work in 2017 from New Mexico State University and is a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) in the state of Oregon. Lauren has worked with children, adolescents, and adults as a Behavioral Management Specialist at the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy, in a local ER and hospital as a care manager and in an inpatient mental health and addictions treatment facility. She works to create a safe and respectful space to explore ways to reduce your suffering, while creating alignment and joy in yourself and within your relationships. Her goal is to empower you and to provide you with the support and tools that you are searching for to move forward, feeling more insightful, intentional, and fulfilled. Natalie grew up in Temecula, a small city in southern California. In 2014, she began a two year adventure as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sichuan, China teaching English as a second language. It was during her volunteer time that she learned the art and importance of non-verbal communication and rapport building, skills she still uses in her clinical work. Following her volunteer time in China, Natalie moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue graduate studies in counseling, and completed her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark College in 2019. Natalie has a black cat named Bubba-Jude that she adopted from Oregon Humane Society a couple months after moving to Portland and he has been with her throughout grad school and a pandemic. (You may even see him pop up on the screen from time to time during virtual sessions!) Natalie has a passion for music, and is a guitarist, plays piano, and has recently started recording/producing beats. She also enjoys integrating music, art and creative practices in her counseling work. Natalie is currently an LPC-Intern working towards independent clinical licensure
